Introduction

Scaling Up to Meet the Demands of AMP8

Cappagh Browne has made an exceptionally strong start to AMP8, with teams across the business stepping up to meet increased demands and delivering real momentum from the outset. The year so far has been one of achievement, growth and collaboration, as we have successfully scaled up our people, resources and delivery capability while maintaining our unwavering commitment to safety, quality and environmental responsibility.

The progress achieved to date is something to be proud of. It reflects the dedication, expertise and teamwork of our people, the strength of our relationships with clients and partners, and a shared focus on delivering lasting improvements for the network and the communities we serve.

Delivering Environmental Improvements

A key priority during AMP8 has been reducing the impact of surface water on the wastewater network. Our teams have delivered a significant programme of surveying, surface water separation and bathing water protection, which plays a vital role in improving long-term network resilience and supporting wider environmental outcomes.

Civils Delivery on the Ground

Alongside this work, our civils teams have been delivering a substantial volume of reactive and planned repairs across the network. So far in AMP8, teams have completed over 4000 sewer repair tasks, often in challenging environments and time-sensitive conditions. This level of delivery reflects both the scale of the programme and the capability that has been built across our civils operations.

Putting Customers at the Centre

Customer centricity is a core value and remains central to our AMP8 strategy. Since April, our teams have worked closely with customers and communities to support delivery on the ground, with this focus reflected in strong customer satisfaction scores of 8.2 for reactive civils and 8.6 for environmental civils. These results demonstrate the professionalism, care and clear communication shown by our teams while carrying out work across the region.

Growing Capability and Capacity

The year has also seen Cappagh Browne continue to scale up in response to increasing delivery demands. We’ve welcomed new colleagues, expanded operational capability and strengthened collaboration with delivery partners. Recruitment activity, on-site milestones and project updates shared throughout the year have highlighted the depth of experience within the business and the commitment to maintaining high standards as we grow.

Safety, Quality and Environmental Focus

Safety, quality and environmental compliance have remained at the heart of everything we do. From early planning through to delivery on site, teams have worked hard to ensure works are completed efficiently while minimising disruption and protecting the environment. This culture of care and accountability has underpinned the progress made so far in AMP8.

A Thank You to Everyone Involved

The progress achieved so far in AMP8 would not be possible without the dedication and collaboration of many people. We would like to thank our staff for their hard work, professionalism and commitment, often in challenging conditions. Our thanks also go to our clients, delivery partners, stakeholders and local authorities for their continued support and collaboration, and to the communities and customers we work alongside for their patience and cooperation during works.

Looking Ahead

As we look ahead to the remainder of AMP8, the focus remains on building on this momentum. With strong foundations in place and a collective commitment to high standards, Cappagh Browne is well positioned to continue delivering practical, sustainable solutions that make a lasting difference to the network and the communities it serves.
