Introduction

Cappagh Browne has rolled out a new standardised range of battery-powered tools across the business, equipping more than 45 operational teams with modern, reliable kit.

The investment replaces petrol generator-powered equipment with a robust range of DeWalt battery tools, including drills, impact drivers, nut runners, disc cutters, angle grinders and portable lighting. With shared batteries across the range, the equipment is easier to manage, more reliable on site and better suited to the live environments our teams work in every day.

Quieter, Cleaner, More Practical Working

Moving away from generator-powered tools brings clear benefits for operatives, customers and communities. Teams no longer need to work alongside a generator running throughout an eight to ten-hour shift, helping reduce noise on site while cutting emissions from petrol and diesel-powered equipment.

The new battery-powered range also gives operatives greater flexibility when working in excavations, confined areas or locations where generator use can be impractical.

Standard Kit Across Every Van

A key part of the investment is consistency. Every operational vehicle now carries a standard set of power tools and batteries, helping teams arrive prepared and complete more work without delays.

The new kit supports:

  • Faster response on site, with teams better equipped to complete repairs there and then
  • Quieter working for operatives and local communities
  • Reduced reliance on petrol generators and diesel-powered equipment
  • Greater consistency across Clean Rivers and Seas, surface water separation and civils repair activity
  • Improved confidence for teams using high-quality, up-to-date tools

Supporting Teams With the Right Equipment

To keep work moving, Cappagh Browne also holds replacement stock at Plumpton and has partnered with a local supplier in Worthing, allowing tools to be repaired or swapped quickly when needed.

The investment forms part of Cappagh Browne’s continued focus on practical innovation, giving teams the equipment they need to work safely, efficiently and confidently while supporting better outcomes for customers, communities and the environment.
